Ms Chua

Argh.
Both my leg joint hurts.
And I feel so goddamn tired. X.x
I feel my eyes drooping as we speak, and it doesn't help that I haven't had proper rest since this morning. Guhh.

Ms Chua came to teach today, and we all know what that means.

1. No drinking water in her class - she believes against it, and that we can only drink after class.

2. Exercises to the extreme. If you can't get an exercise, she'll make you do it until you do. Even if it means repeating the dance more than 5 times. @____@

Don't get me wrong though. Ms Chua is a great person, with great English to boot, unlike the Kuantan ballerinas here. >__>
But if she's gonna teach you, you can be sure that that class is gonna be all work and no fooling around.
Not that she's dead fierce/strict, just that she's a firm believer that you've gotta do your work properly in class.

Needless to say, I felt dehydrated after class.
Lika & Seow Hui managed to sneak a few sips when Ms Chua had her back turned and was talking to Gino, but I arrived at my bottle a little too late. Dx
I swore my tongue/mouth actually dried up.

Of course, my legs and 'mussels' (as Lika put it anyway,) felt really sore.
And it didn't help that I played 5 rounds of Paintball the day before either. (Blame Niki for persuading me in the first place!)
Though it wasn't nearly as bad as that day in Terengganu with Shu Cia (and then it was 3 hours, this time was 2), but I still felt poofed out.

And it didn't help that Gino asked us to come again at 2.30pm to mark the steps for fear that we'd forgot if we left it until Wednesday.

My leg joints still hurt as of now, and I'm doubting if it will fully recover by Wednesday.
Yelp.

Random.

Lika messaged me this afternoon, telling me that Sayaka wasn't coming for class (she's back in Taiwan for some 'family matters'), and that Gino wanted us to dance today.
We don't actually have a class on Wednesdays, just that we go to the studio and 'help out', if you can call it that.
So anyways, according to Lika Gino had asked us to come in place of Sayaka's class and do Grade 7 at 4.15pm.

But as it turned out, Gino let Charnita's class stretch to take Sayaka's class as well.
So we didn't dance.
Instead, we just marked the steps during Lixian and Qian Wen's class, because they both weren't coming (Qian Wen-fever, Lixian-Jason Mraz concert).

Then came the Intermediate class.
Gino has it in for poor Seow Hui, and she got repriminded by him a few times too many.

Anyways..
What I have to complain about is....
I have to take tomorrow's grade 7 class and teach them! =.=
It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for Teapot Girl (not mentioning real names here, lol xD).
I have nothing against her, it's just that she can be so.. rude sometimes.

And she'll step over you if you're not firm with her.
Gah.
I'm always looking forward to dancing grade 7 on Thursdays, but to teach Teapot?
Meh.

Well, guh.

I wanted to update yesterday.
Really, I did, but I was SO.DAMN.TIRED.
Because I rarely had time to rest today (or rarely had time to even register rest, whichever you prefer), mainly because of my morning class.

Eurgh.
I'm so not a morning person.
Even more so when it's raining.
On days like these, heck, I won't even be an afternoon person.

Gino had some stomach ache that was really killing him (metaphorically, of course), so Lika and I (more so Lika) had to take over the other classes.

We didn't dance for our 5.30 class (how'd you guess? xD), instead Seow Hui, Lika and I sat around Gino's desk in the studio and munched on some tidbits while chatting.
And I wonder why I'm so fat. *Dies*

After that was Grade 4, Jovian, Megan, Chrystal,(I swear it's the correct spelling this time. Honest.) Qian Li & Sayaka's class.
Lika taught that for a while, then had to bring Gino to the pharmacist, so I had to take over the class.
And this is what happened.

Yup, Seow Hui joined the Grade 4 class.
(Background correction vocals by Lika. xD This was before Lika left, though.)

Everyone was laughing, and it didn't help that I encouraged more laughter too. xD
It was a fun class, mostly brought on by the fact that Gino wasn't here.
Just as they were about to start their Character though, Gino & Lika came back.
So Lika took over the class, and she was less playful than usual with their class.
Still, I asked her to help me record the reverance, and well, Guess who makes an appearence again. =.=

But I guess the thing I look forward to most on Thursdays now are Grade 7.
Gino decided to teach the Intermediate girls Grade 7 as well, so those who can't seem to catch up on Intermediate will at least have Grade 7 to fall back to.

I love Grade 7. ^^
Slightly tiring, but still. ;D
Gino seemed well enough to teach Grade 7.
Or maybe it's because of a certain someone, whom he knows will create hell if he wasn't there to teach.
Just an assumption, though. =3

Oh, and something I found out today: Lika looks scary when she's trying not to combust. 0.0
Not gonna say more, but.. yeah.
She looked like she was gonna murder someone or something. *Gulps*

And for the first time, I taught Sharnita.

Why You're Only Seeing This Entry Today.

Two reasons why I'm posting both Wednesday & Thursday's events in one blogpost: Photobucket hates me at the moment.
I've been trying to upload the videos I took since Wednesday to Photobucket, but it always results in some error. And you know how cranky Blogger's video uploader can be sometimes.
At least to me, anyway. =.=

EDIT: I was FINALLY able to upload the videos!! I tried again and again and again (wait for it..) and again to upload these bloody videos for days. I swear I'm going so 미쳤어, it's not even funny. It even makes me mumble Korean. X.x *Flail*

Mr Gino was not here on Wednesday, so Lika & I (more so Lika, actually..) took the classes.
And oh, we probably cracked the already-old-and-worn out walls more than it already is, because we were laughing (wait; actually guffawing would be a more appropriate term) nearly the entire time.

No thanks to Lixian, who told us a Siti Nurhaliza joke and one involving.. uh, coke.
I shall say no more about that subject.
And of course, I took some videos of the Intermediate girls doing their work.
You can't really blame them for not really knowing their work; they are still sorta new in this Major Grade.
Then again, they were not really making an effort, were they? xD


I still can't believe they were looking forward to doing this exercise. I used to.. well, dislike it.

Yup. They demoted themselves and did Running In A Circle. And they were having fun. xDD!

And then on Thursday, thankfully, we didn't have to stay and dance for night class.
Seriously, Sharnita is like our Fate-Decider or something..
She tells Gino when she can and cannot come for class, and our class is decided then (what time our class is). O.o

I stayed for Intermediate, because Gino was teaching them Grade 7 that day.
I love Grade 7, but it can be really tiresome for the muscles. Dx
But I still love it nevertheless. ^^
And I missed doing Grade 7, really, since I didn't do the exam when my other peers did.

*cough*Imissedalotofclassesthen*cough*

Anyways, it was nice doing Grade 7 again, because it's practically an expressive syllabus.
And it was nice dancing now, since I admit that my expressiveness in my dance back then was close to nil. =.=
Besides, I miss doing Character and dances with scarves! T_T

But yeah, that was sorta it for Thursday, with the main highlight being Grade 7.
I still can't believe it actually took this long to get this simple post up.. Gahh. Dx

Because that's what describes the feeling in my legs right now.
Ouch.
My calves are on the verge of cramping up, and the muscle on my right inner thigh feels painfully tight.
I can't even do a proper Grand Battemond. T_T

Anyhow, I guess that's what you get if you're not used to doing so much work, ne? *^^*

Oh, and yesterday, Chia Hern came up with a new name for Lika: Buffonkey. Buffalo + Donkey = Buffonkey. Yeah, ignore the lame result of the combination of the two.
It was hilarious though.
At least to us. xp

On a lighter note though, I managed to complete all the turns in Fouette Ronds De Jambe En Tournant! Yay! *claps* ^^
Of course, I still have to work on the technique though..

Oh, and a little video of the not-so-new-but-still-new Intermediate girls dancing.
They can't remember their Port De Bras, and Gino was busy packing, so I'll leave you to see what comes out of it.

Thursday is over.. phew!

Seriously though.
9.30 - Class.
3.30 - Class.
5.30 - Class.

Three classes in a day.
Thankfully I don't really feel the pain today, but I can tell you that my legs were 'vibrating', as I'd like to call it; yesterday after doing barre work 3 times in a row.
I couldn't even do developpes properly. =.=

Then I stayed until nearly 8.30pm to 1) company Lika, 2) sort of help to teach, and 3) because I don't have anything better to do when I get home anyways.
Besides, I love spending time with my girls. ^^

Probably The Noisiest Ballet Class Ever.

For the first time in I have no idea how many lightyears (sorry, I've been listening to the Final Countdown when writing this.. Thus the song reference), Ashley (my sister) followed me to ballet.
The original reason was because Lika said she had wanted to teach the Pre Primary students Rock n' Roll, so she decided to tag along, because she wanted to learn as well.
But I warned her; it would be a while before Pre Primary class (PP was at 7.30pm, and we went there at about 5 something). She agreed, so she makes her debut appearence in the studio. xDD!

But as she soon found out later, the ballerinas in Kuantan are a crazy bunch.
And I mean crazy crazy.
Exceptionally crazy today, I have no idea why.
Must be the vibes.

But meh, at least she had fun.
Though she only knows Lika from the short meetings she's been with me while I'm with Lika, they seem to get along pretty well.
Wait, scratch that; they get along very well.
Not that I'm complaining, of course.

Also today, Jovian took refuge with my digital cam and started recording candid moments.
First Lika recorded the Grade 4, then after their class (which was the Inter Found), Jovian took over and began recording literally everyone.
So yeah, guess who you're gonna see make a cameo appearence in the videos.

I would never post any video that I shot of myself (due to how fugly I would look, and for fear of killing your eyes, but since this vid is not entirely concentrated on me, I guess it's acceptable ;p), so relish in this moment, people. It might not come again. xD

Lika made me do the 'curtain' thingy this time. Don't ask. Oh, and did I mention that both videos were taken by Lika this time? Yeah, well now you know.

Oh, and I just had to mention this: After Chinese New Year, we (as in Seow Hui, Lika and me) will no longer have classes on Wednesdays.
But before you say anything, lemme finish; we will be having 3, I repeat, THREE, classes on Thursday.
9.30am, 3.30pm and 5.30pm.

Yeah, Qian Wen can't make it for class any other time, so Gino had to move our class.

What's so amazing? Said girl is Ksenia Zhiganshina, and she's 13 years old. Honey, when I was 13, I had trouble doing pivot turns, dammit. Dx

Yesterday

Actually, I went to the studio on a whim yesterday.
Because I'd be 'dating my laptop' if I was home the whole day anyway, as my sister so nicely put it.
Besides, watching others dance when I didn't have to is rather... refreshing. xD

And the moment I stepped into the studio, I swore I laughed till my stomach hurt.
Lika was at it with her mating sounds again, which, 3rd time around, didn't seem as amusing as before. But we still had a good laugh.

Then during Inter Found, the whole class cracked up, courtesy of Lika & Michelle.
Lika for her jokes, and Michelle for her antics.
Lemme show you a video of that.


Oh, and Lika insisted on her 'close/open curtain' action at the beginning and end of the videos. So prepare for those.

Then we have Ice, Michelle & Wan Hui attempting to do pointes without holding the barre.
Lika's orders, of course.

After that, Lixian graciously played a little excerpt from one of her Final Fantasy scores.

Then later on, before the pre-primary class, Lika taught me some Rock N' Roll steps.
And I liked it. xD
Oh, and it turns out that Bhajan Singh's brother's daughter is the new student Lika was talking about! ^^

Oh yes, while I was trolling youtube to find vids and whatnot, I came across this Tour de Japon orchestra team, and they played To Zanarkand.
And they played gorgeously.
It gave me goosebumps the moment the violins/flutes came in. Have a listen:
